The greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park ( GSWP )and surrounding area is a prime tourist
destination because of its many attractions, vastly varied land scapes, large bio
diversity, and mixed cultures, and rich history to mention a few of the many points. The
fact that The area has aquired world heritage status is also a good reason to pay us a
visit. There is so much to do and see within the area, that if you spent five years here
you would only cover a small portion of the area.
We have the Indian Ocean as our eastern border, Mozambique and Swazi land is our
northern border. The Umfolozi river is considered by some to be our Southern border, and
our western border is not realy defined, but west of Hlabisa would be considered as going
too far. These areas are all within two hours drive of Mtubatuba which is considered as
the economic hub of our area.
