Manukelana Art and Nursery have offices, and retail outlet in Khula village just out side of St. Lucia, on the Southern Edge of the iSimangaliso wetlands Park world heritage site.
Manukelana Art and Nursery is supported by the IWPA (iSimangaliso Wetlands Park Authority), and is a very important link between the local communities of Dukuduku Forest settlement areas and the IWPA. Manukelana art and Nursery work closely with the IWPA and the Mtubatuba Municipality and are in the process of developing an environmentally friendly strategy to help save the remnants of the Dukuduku forest from total destruction by the forest dwellers.
Over the years this project has grown into a strong community based force that is beginning to have some impact on the attitudes of the rural people living within the Dukuduku forest, and show some positive spin offs.
