Since The Greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park was declared a world heritage site, early in 2000, the number of international visitors to  North Eastern Zululand and the Greater St. Lucia Wetlands Park ( GSWP ) increased dramatically untill some where in 2004 and has been declining gradualy ever since, in concert with the decline of internatinal tourists to South Africa as a whole.
